The Ministry of Industry and Trade has just issued Decision No. 924/QD-BCT on terminating the application of anti-dumping measures to a number of galvanized steel products originating from Korea and China. Case code ER01.AD02.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade began conducting a period-end review in June 2021 in accordance with the Law on Foreign Trade Management and on the basis of the review request dossier of the representative of the domestic manufacturing industry. The investigation is carried out in accordance with the provisions of the World Trade Organization, the Law on Foreign Trade Management and related regulations.

In addition, the Ministry of Industry and Trade  has collected information, summarized opinions of stakeholders, carefully considered and assessed the impacts of imported galvanized steel products on the domestic industry and the level of sales. devaluation of the manufacturing and exporting enterprises of Korea and China.

The investigation results show that after 5 years of applying anti-dumping measures, the domestic industry no longer suffers significant damage and in the immediate future, imports from Korea and China are unlikely to recur. damage to the domestic industry.

Based on the results of the investigation and implementation of WTO regulations, the Law on Foreign Trade Management, guiding documents and opinions of relevant parties, the Ministry of Industry and Trade decided to terminate the application of anti-dumping measures. for some galvanized steel products originating from Korea and China.

In the coming time, the Ministry of Industry and Trade will coordinate with relevant agencies and units to continue closely monitoring the situation of importing a number of galvanized steel products from sources into Vietnam to promptly take appropriate measures, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade. in line with international commitments and domestic laws to protect the legitimate interests of the domestic industry as well as of consumers.
