According to the license granted by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, Vinacomin is allowed to exploit bauxite mines in Tay Tan Rai area, Loc Ngai commune, Bao Lam district, Lam Dong province by open-pit mining to supply raw materials for houses. alumina machine 650,000 tons/year, with a mining capacity of 4.31 million tons of primary ore/year.

However, the volume of raw ore exploited in 2019 and 2020 is 3.54 million tons and 3.55 million tons, respectively, lower than the allowed capacity in the license.

According to the company's explanation, the output of raw ore in the selection and the output of refined ore obtained are lower than the design. During the production process, the unit has mixed and neutralized the ore quality in order to maintain a stable particle composition of the ore, ensuring a stable and high harvest rate.

The rate of harvesting in the years 2019 - 2020 is about 10% higher than the design, thereby reducing the consumption of raw ore/ton of refined ore compared to the design. The average period of 2019-2020 is 2.09 tons of primary ore/ton of refined ore compared to the design of 2.31 tons of primary ore/ton of refined ore.
