Hoa Phat successfully produced coiled rebar in accordance with British standards

This is a type of construction steel used as concrete reinforcement for super works, made in rolls for convenient transportation. To achieve the British BS4449 standard certification, the manufacturing process of DBIC steel products must be very rigorous and meet the fatigue test condition of over 5 million cycles.

In addition, the production stage of liquid iron must ensure the best quality, the impurities P (phosphorus), S (sulfur) are very low. Due to its high strength properties, DBIC steel is difficult to produce in coils, requiring very tight control of heat and cooling at the rolling stage.

Rebar in coil form which has been widely used in Europe and developed countries is a new rebar concept that can bring many advantages such as: maximization of production efficiency through automated system, reduced labor costs, reduced machining loss and steel usage, better management of storage space and better inventory.

The production of rebar in coil form also helps Hoa Phat reduce metal consumption, does not generate short and long steel to cut, and optimizes production costs.

Up to now, Hoa Phat is the only Vietnamese enterprise that can produce DBIC steel. As soon as the production was successful and the British BS4449 certificate was granted, the product was exported to the Singapore market and attracted the attention of many foreign partners.
